Agricultural Climate Risk Tools workshop

Today’s farming weather isn’t your grandparents’ weather.

Weather trends are continuing to change. Make sure you have the tools you need to adapt and make decisions for your farming operation throughout the 2025 growing season and beyond.

Connect with agricultural climate experts, explore resources, and discuss real-world scenarios at this climate-smart farming workshop. This workshop is open to field crop producers, specialty growers, farm managers, crop advisors, and other agriculture professionals. Regional climate specialists will explore what tools are available and how producers can use them to reduce costly weather and climate risks.

This workshop is free, and parking costs will be covered. Lunch will be provided.

Sign up by Nov. 25. Information about parking and other details will be provided to registrants by Nov. 27. Three CEUs for Certified Crop Advisors are available through this workshop.

If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please contact Duane Friend at friend@illinois.edu.

This program is provided through a Sustainable Ag Research and Education Professional Development grant and is cohosted by University of Illinois Extension, the Prairie Research Institute, the Illinois State Climatologist office, the USDA Midwest Climate Hub, the Midwest Regional Climate Center, and the National Integrated Drought Information System.
