Academic Professional Essential Training Series: Program Planning and Evaluation (February 20, 2025)

Academic Professional Essential Training Series- Quarterly training sessions designed to build essential skills and competencies in Extension Professionals.  The four part series covers Program Planning and Assessment, Facilitation, Meaningful and Engaging Learning Experiences, and Community Partnerships.   

New Academic Professionals are expected to complete all four topics within two years of employment as an Academic Professional.
 

Topic: Program Planning & Evaluation
Program assessments provide evidence-based insights that help us understand the effectiveness of our initiatives. By systematically evaluating our programs, we can identify which aspects are successful and which need improvement, ensuring that resources are used efficiently to maximize impact.
You'll learn how to effectively plan and evaluate your programs and activities, understand the importance of IRB applications in data collection, and refine your ability to craft compelling impact stories that adhere to guidelines. Our structured in-person sessions cover everything from needs assessment to program evaluation and impact analysis, providing you with the tools you need to succeed in your role.
