ABCs of School Nutrition

Do any food service staff need USDA Professional Standard training hours?
Did you know the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA) requires a minimum of annual training hours for all school nutrition program directors, managers, and staff?

University of Illinois Extension has partnered with the Illinois State Board of Education to offer professional development training for school food service professionals. There will be two training sessions in early August.  We are happy to announce that an ISBE School Nutrition professional will be our Keynote speaker.

Registration, regardless of location, is from 7:45 to 8:00 a.m. The training will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. and last until 12:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!
·       Tuesday, August 6, 2024 - Pearl City High School, 100 South Summit St, Pearl City, Illinois
·       Thursday, August 8, 2024 - South Beloit High School, 245 Prairie Hill Road, South Beloit, Illinois

This training will provide four hours of USDA Professional Standards credits. There is no charge for this training; however, pre-registration is required.
