4-H Virtual Cooking SPIN Club 2025

We want YOU to join us for Virtual 4-H Cooking SPIN Club
- Learn to cook in the comforts of your own kitchen with your family
- Learn about kitchen safety, equipment, measurement and more
- Save money and participate from home!
- Work on projects from the Cooking project books to prepare for fair
- Meet on ZOOM with other 4-H youth “chefs” that enjoy cooking
- Recipes/ingredients will be emailed to you in advance to allow time to add ingredients to your shopping list.
- Recipes/ingredients for the first class can be found on the confirmation email
Youth ages 8-18 as of September 1, 2024 are welcome to join!
(Usually just finishing grades 3-12)
Join the Virtual 4-H Cooking SPIN Club to learn more about:
- Introduction to cooking
- Food safety
- Kitchen safety
- Measuring
- Snacks
- Side Dishes
- Main Dishes
- Quick Breads
- Desserts
You will be need to gather supplies and ingredients prior to the class and have access to a device with video viewing capabilities.
We will also review planned projects for the fair so you can put your best foot forward in competition!
This class is taught by one of our recent 4-H Alumni, Frank Herff, along with one of our wonderful volunteers, Denise Woolridge.
TWO classes are being offered: either first time participants OR Those that were members in Cooking 101 last year.
- Beginning Cooking Club members @ 10:00am via ZOOM
- Returning Cooking Club members @ 11:15am via ZOOM

Current 4-H members and NEW to 4-H youth WELCOME! This is a great opportunity to try 4-H!
- Returning members - be sure you have added the club to your 4-H ZSuite enrollment.
- If you are new to 4-H, please be sure to enroll at: https://4h.zsuite.org , (See Enrollment guide HERE), pay the $20 4-H enrollment fee and return Extension Participation form to 1102 McConnell Rd, P.O. Box 1430, Woodstock, IL 60098
- There is NO deadline to join 4-H, however, to participate in this year’s 4-H Fair judging, members must be enrolled by the first class.
