4-H Summer Programs - 2025

Register to participate in 4-H summer programs! Please complete a separate form for each attendee. All programs are open to all youth. These programs are offered at no charge thanks to support from generous donors.

Nature Explorers: Discover the Great Outdoors!
Join us for an exciting 4-H Summer Camp adventure! Explore forests, learn about plants and wildlife, and even see how drones help in farming. There’s something for everyone!
When: June 4, 10 AM – 3 PM
Where: Indian Creek Farmstead LLC., 19468 Curtis Blacktop Rd., Petersburg
Who Can Join: Ages 8-18 (Free to attend!)

Explore Science on Wheels!
The IGB Mobile Science Learning Lab is a science classroom on wheels! Run by experts from the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology, this hands-on event will spark your curiosity and show how science is changing the world.
When: June 11, 10 AM - Noon
Where: Menard County Extension Office, 420 S 7th St, Petersburg (Parking Lot)

Discover, Learn, and Have Fun at 4-H Cloverbud Camps!
Attention all adventurous youth ages 5-7 - - Join the 4-H Cloverbud Camps for exciting hands-on activities designed just for you. Explore topics like art, STEM, nature, animals, kitchen science, sound, and music!​ Each camp day will focus on a different theme, offering a distinct experience.

Join us for an exciting day at the 4-H Flight Camp, where you'll discover the science and wonder of all things that fly! From airplanes and helicopters to birds, bats, insects, and even flying squirrels, explore the fascinating world of flight through hands-on activities and interactive learning.​

This camp is designed by teens, for teens, with each day focused on a different part of digital storytelling. It's the perfect opportunity to grow your online presence and strengthen your leadership skills!

Get Ready to Cheer: Join Us for 4-H Cheer Camp!
Hey awesome kids ages 5-12! Come have a blast at the 4-H Cheer Camp! Learn cool cheers, master cheer-leading basics, and create your own cheer gear to show off at our big performance!​
When:
Practice Sessions: July 27, 2 PM – 4 PM & July 30, 6 PM​
Final Performance: July 30, 7 PM – 8 PM during 4-H Night at the Logan County Fair​
Where: Logan County Extension Office, 980 N. Postville Dr., Lincoln, IL​
Who Can Join: Ages 5-12 (Free to attend!)​
Important Info:
Must attend both practice sessions and the final performance.​
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and tennis shoes.​
Please tie hair back.​
Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.​
