4-H Junior Chefs | Christian County
This fun, hands-on cooking program helps youth build confidence in the kitchen while learning essential culinary skills. Participants will explore food safety, nutrition, meal preparation, knife skills, and creative recipes while cooking alongside friends. Whether you're just getting started or already love to cook, this program is a great way to learn new skills, try delicious foods, and have fun in the kitchen!
Dates: Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17, and Dec. 15 - We ask that your child attend each session.
Time: 5:30-7:15 p.m.

Ages: 8-18. You do not have to be a 4-H member to participate!

Location: Christian County Extension office in Taylorville, located at 1120 N Webster St.

- Wear closed-toed shoes, such as sneakers (no sandals or flip-flops)
- Pull back and secure long hair with a rubber band or hairband
- Wear clothing that may get messy or stained during cooking
- Wear clothing that covers from the shoulders to near the knee to avoid the risk of burns during cooking
