4-H Horticulture Workshop - Let's Get Gardening!
4-H Horticulture Workshop - Let's Get Gardening!
Youth will have a chance to get their hands into the soil by planting early-season plant starts (grown by the Monticello High School horticulture classes) and seeds. Help start a large early-season garden to supply local food pantries with fresh produce this summer. Attendees will be introduced to 4-H Horticulture and the related project options and will get to take home a garden plant (tomato and or pepper) along with a collection of seeds they pick out for their own garden. Learn about the importance of growing your own healthy food, why flowers are a must for your garden, and how to give back to your community through gardening.
The first 10 Cloverbuds will receive a 4-H Little Roots kit!
