4-H Beginner Photography Workshop | Macoupin County

This 4-H Youth Photography Workshop is designed to help young photographers enhance their skills by focusing on the critical elements of light and composition. Participants will explore how to frame their subjects effectively and use color to create balanced, striking photos.

Youth ages 8-18 will gain practical experience in creating well-composed, color-balanced images while developing a deeper understanding of how to capture dynamic photographs that draw the viewer’s eye and convey a strong visual message.

This outdoor workshop is ideal for young photographers looking to take their skills to the next level, whether they're just starting or looking to refine their techniques. Through a combination of theory, hands-on practice, and constructive feedback, participants will leave with the knowledge and confidence to use composition and color harmony to elevate their photography. Participants should bring a phone or camera to take photos!
