2026 Garden Learning Series - Seed Starting for Your Garden

The University of Illinois Extension Lake County Master Gardeners, SWALCO, and the Lake County Forest Preserve District present the 2026 Garden Learning Series 
Programs will be held virtually on the 2nd Wednesday of every month, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. 
Zoom information, Handouts and Slides will be provided via email by 2pm on the day of the presentation.
Programs will NOT be recorded, unless otherwise noted.
February 11th - Virtual – Seed Starting for Your Garden - Presented by the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners

Programs are Free and Virtual via Zoom
Master Gardeners will deliver timely tips on how to start seeds to grow your own seedlings for your garden. Basic requirements, including time, light, growing medium, water and attention, will be shared as well as suggested plants to start from seed. Seed starting is not limited to vegetables. Annuals and perennials can also be started to get a jump on the growing season.
