2024 Southwestern Illinois Commercial Tree Fruit School
For current research-based information on growing tree fruits, attend the 2024 Tree Fruit School. This year's program features a wide range of topics to help you meet the challenges of commercial fruit production in Southwestern Illinois. Industry representatives will also be on hand to talk about their latest products and services.
Current trends in insect and disease management and a variety of other production-related topics will be discussed.

- Kacie Athey with University of Illinois covering tree fruit insect updates and biorational insecticides
- Trent Ford, State Climatologist with the Illinois State Water Survey, with the 2024 Climate Prediction
- Holly Tuten with the Prarie Research Institute discussing the Illinois Statewide Tick Surveillance Program
- Janna Beckerman with Purdue University covering perennial cankers and biorational fungicides
- Rick Weinzierl of Weinzierl Fruit and Consulting will provide the 2023 season in review
This year's school will be on February 6, 2024, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hardin (19899 Illinois River Road Hardin, IL 62047)
Advanced registration by February 1 is $35.00 per person, lunch included
This year, your registration does NOT include a spray guide this year (If you received the 2023-2024 Midwest Fruit Pest Management Guide last year, it’s still good for the 2024 growing season). Spray Guides will be available for purchase at the school for $15.00 each.
Orchards sending more than one employee: $35.00 for all attendees. Lunch is included.
Registration at the door is $50.00 per person, lunch included.
Registration starts at 7:45 am. The program begins at 8:30 am and runs until 3:15 pm
