Location: I Hotel & Illinois Conference Center (1900 S 1st St, Champaign, IL 61820)
Earn six (6) hours of USDA Professional Standards for school nutrition team members from the ABCs of School Nutrition. ABCs of School Nutrition is provided by the University of Illinois Extension and funded by the Illinois State Board of Education. There is no charge for the training, but individual pre-registration is required as space is limited. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.
Tentative Schedule:
9-10 am: Scratch/Semi-Scratch/Speed Scratch cooking 60 minutes
10-11 am: Promoting School Breakfast
11-12 pm: Standardized recipes (culinary math)
12-1 pm: LunchÂ
1-2 pm: ISBE presentation (Topic TBD)
2-3 pm: HACCP and food safety plans
3-4 pm: Healthy Lunchrooms
Registration will close on 7/26/24 or when the location meets capacity.
