The University of Illinois Extension does not currently mandate COVID-19 vaccinations for our volunteers, nor will we request proof of vaccination. We encourage volunteers at partner sites to adhere to the guidelines established by those partners. The decision to continue volunteering at sites that require vaccination rests with the individual volunteer. We acknowledge the vaccination mandates imposed by some partners, who will be accountable for ensuring compliance with their policies. When we communicate volunteer opportunities, we will also convey any specific requirements from our partners for those roles. It is the responsibility of the requesting organization to provide any relevant protocols or requirements when submitting the program request, ensuring that this information is incorporated into volunteer recruitment efforts.
